In Louisville, Kentucky, a 23-year-old man shot four people and injured several others at a bank. The shooter is also dead. His motive is still unknown.

Four people have been shot and killed at a bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, according to local police. The alleged shooter also died. Nine people, including two police officers, were injured. One of the officers is in critical condition.

City Deputy Police Chief Paul Humphrey said when officers arrived at the building, shots were fired. Police exchanged fire with the shooter. However, it is not yet clear whether the shooter was killed by the police or shot himself. Anyway, that’s a lone culprit. And he broadcasted the action live on the internet. However, in the meantime, the city of Louisville is no longer in danger.

Offender or employee of the bank

The motive of the culprit is still unclear. It was only known that the man – 23 years old – was a bank employee.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said on Twitter that he was on his way to the scene. “Please pray for the affected families and for the city of Louisville,” Beshear said. Beshear later explained that two of the dead were his close friends. Another person who is friends with him is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. “It’s horrible,” the Democrat fought back tears.

US President Joe Biden has been frustrated by repeated “senseless” killings. “Too many Americans are paying the price of inaction with their lives,” he wrote on Twitter. “When will Republicans in Congress act to protect our communities?”

Gun violence is common in America. Lethal shootings are a part of everyday life. Major attacks continue to lead to debates about tightening gun laws — but so far have largely produced no results. Guns are readily available and widely distributed in the United States.
