After an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Norway, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbach (42, Greens) went to Wismar (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) on Thursday. On board (tactical registration number 15+11, issued in August 2022), risotto with lobster or truffles (vegetarian) served with mozzarella with tomato and basil, fruit and cheese and fruit macarons for dessert. During the nearly one-hour flight, Baerbach and his guests prepared the Baltic Council during a working lunch.
The Airbus was modified by Lufthansa Technik, and was also used in the Air Force’s Indo-Pacific mission and equipped for “parliamentary flight operations”. The ship can accommodate up to 136 people. It has a longer range and 20 percent lower CO₂ emissions than older models.
This means that Baerbach and his colleagues have protected the climate by traveling together.
After the air force’s Airbus A321 landed in Rostock-Log, limousines were already waiting for Foreign Minister Berbach and his colleagues.
According to BILD, ministers should also visit their respective homes in an environmentally friendly manner. Exactly how is not disclosed for security reasons.
