There are many investigations going on against Donald Trump in the United States. Prosecutors believe the chances of at least one case being successful are slim.

New York – Former US President Donald Trump is currently in court in several cases. Among other things, it was allegedly involved in the Capital Storm on January 6, 2021, with allegations of fraud and alleged payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels.

Now US legal experts have cast doubt on whether Trump can be held accountable in some of the investigations. Prosecutors may find it difficult to convince a jury that Trump is guilty, according to US experts. The evidence in the election fraud investigation also may not be enough to prove Trump's guilt.

Investigations against Trump: Hush money actions 'historic mistake', experts say

Trump is the first former US president to face criminal charges. The New York attorney's office wants to prove he paid Daniels to cover up an affair he had with another woman before the 2016 U.S. presidential election. So he should not lose the goodwill of the voters. Trump to this day denies both affairs and speaks of a “witch hunt.”

In an article in the American Journal The New York Times Jed Handelsman Shugerman, a law professor at Boston University, wrote that there was no clear evidence of election interference in the case. The case was taken up by the public prosecutor as a “historic mistake”.

Trump in court: Former president behaved “improperly but legally”

Handelsman Sugarman wrote that the hush money was “improper and legal for a candidate to pay for a non-disclosure agreement.” To call this election interference trivializes the term and “undermines the deadly serious allegations in actual cases of election interference.” Los Angeles Times A law professor opined similarly in this case.
