Correspondent Hanna Resch “Tagesschau” | There is a blackout in entertainment

Mistakes are human!

Journalist Hanna Resh got confused during the 8pm “Degeschau” news when she was about to report live on the latest development in the controversial Israeli judicial reform.

The contribution, which runs under the headline “Israel's judicial reform partially reversed,” was moderated by Chief Spokesman Jens Riva. Then it was Resh's turn.

A reporter from Tel Aviv reported

Connecting from Tel Aviv, the freelance reporter started with a slight slip, but eventually managed to flawlessly report “a severe backlash to Netanyahu and his far-right government.”

Then things went a little haywire. Hannah Resch was confused and said: “(Previously unnamed opposition politician Zaire) Lapid has made this very clear Here Israel really did its duty…the court did its duty. And We have Actually…”

Then Resch stopped and looked down apologetically at the audience – there might have been some hint. “I need to compose myself for a moment,” said the surprised girl, scratching the back of her head shyly. But even the second attempt did not bring the expected success.

▶ It must be emphasized, however: in his dark hours, the “Dageschau” reporter was always charming and elegantly smiled his mistakes!

Jens Reeva was shown by the broadcaster and was confident. “Thank you, Hannah Resch. “Everything has arrived, we understood everything,” the veteran journalist praised his colleague in a completely ironic way. “Thank you very much to Tel Aviv,” Riva turned to Ukraine.

Hannah Resch is very famous online. According to most users, mistakes happen. However, some users suspect that the journalist, who describes his visit to “Palestine” as a “pivotal moment” on his front page, may have stumbled because he incorrectly described the entire Netanyahu government as “right-wing extremists”.

Background to the “Tagesschau” report: Israel's Supreme Court has struck down key elements of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government's controversial judicial reform. In a ruling released Monday, the justices declared the change and invalidation of the law passed in July. This deprived the courts of the opportunity to act against and overrule “inappropriate” government decisions.

In an article posted online in the ARD media library after the broadcast, the segment with Hanna Resch was later cut. The reporter's mistake can no longer be seen.
