Ukraine reports painful Crimean losses to Russia

Ukraine has reportedly carried out several attacks in Crimea. The military airfield and command post were heavily damaged.

KYIV – Ukraine says it has carried out a military mission on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula as part of its ongoing offensive against Russia. Several Russian soldiers were killed, equipment damaged and planes destroyed at a military airfield on Thursday night. Russia initially did not officially comment on the attack.

Several Ukrainian media outlets reported the attack, citing the Ukrainian Secret Service (SBU). Together with the Ukrainian army, a “coordinated attack” was launched on an airfield near the city of Sagi, where at least a dozen fighter jets and a Panzerir missile defense system were stationed.
