The MW3 community raises suspicions as the player is “disconnected” for being too good

Recording amazing multiplayer clips in Call of Duty is a time-honored tradition, but one player’s incredible adventure in MW3 inadvertently led to some negative consequences.

For those who have somehow missed the entire history of gaming on YouTube, Call of Duty montages have easily been one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the medium. It can be said that they played a huge role in generating enough interest in the competitive side of the game to make the current world championships viable.

Although its popularity has waned in recent years, there are still plenty of modern examples of exceptional Call of Duty players doing what they do best.

One such clip is now making the rounds on social media, thanks to its brilliant combination of impressive gameplay and the hilarious consequences that follow.

The player hit the MW3 clip so impressively that he was banned

User @itsRomanz posted a video on Twitterfeaturing a triple headshot, and a side kill via Quickscope in MW3.

Unfortunately for them, after hitting multiple kills and taking out three more enemies with headshots during a shootout, they were booted from the game and from the Call of Duty servers entirely. This message then quickly changed to confirm the even worse news that the player had been temporarily banned from playing entirely.

Faze Blaze shared the clip on his Twitter feed under the title “Combining triple headshots into 6 to the head is a huge development error,” generating major feedback from the community in the process.

One user shared his own similar issue with the game, saying, “I’m getting dev errors when I use a move that’s too fast or if I’m on a kill streak of more than 20.”

Others wanted to share their belief that such instances are indicative of broader issues within Call of Duty games as a whole, saying: “Sums up every problem with these days’ code and this SBMM bullshit. Do good and may not.”

It’s unclear how long Romanz has been banned, and Activision has not yet responded to a question about how this situation came about. It may be the case that the enemy team has flagged their profile, though this would still be a remarkably quick and decisive action if so.

With the latest Call of Duty game under fire for shortcomings in the single-player campaign and broader problems with multiplayer, clips like this won’t do anything to allay concerns. It remains to be seen if Activision will do anything to prevent this from happening again.
