Maybe Taylor Swift is Travis Kelce’s lucky charm after all.
The Denver Broncos defeated Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs 24-9 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Sunday, snapping the longest active winning streak against a single team in the NFL.
Swift was not in attendance for the Chiefs’ road game against the Broncos after multiple no-show reports. The star is scheduled to resume her Eras Tour on November 9 in Argentina.
All eyes have been on whether Swift will be in the audience to watch Kelce play since their relationship was rumored to begin earlier in the 2023 NFL season. Swift has been on hand to watch four of Kansas City’s past games, all of which resulted in victories. Her last appearance was last week when the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers.
Travis Kelce statistics with Taylor Swift in attendance
Kelce wouldn’t have been able to continue his big season without Swift in the audience. The tight end had significantly better statistics when the pop star was in person to watch the game. The results were so notable that Chiefs coach Andy Reid decided not to have Swift present for all games.
“Taylor can stay anywhere she wants,” Reid said.
