There is something strange going on currently in Fortnite. The controllers are randomly rumbling when nothing is happening. There is something in the sky that was not there earlier. No one knows as to what any of it could mean.

If people look up into Fortnite’s skybox right now, they may witness a shiny orb with a celestial tail. It seems like a comet. The object does not appear to be a part of the storm or anything as such. Actually, it looks to have specialized animations, as if it is moving across the sky. The most curious thing is that players say that the comet seems to be getting larger. But it seems smaller, more distant, and not quite as bright. The players as well may be the conspiracy theory dude now. Without the direction of Epic, the players are taking to Reddit to concoct theories regarding the significance of the comet.

A Redditor presented a map strategy earlier in the current month where the Tilted Towers is transformed into a crater and some of the people think it may be what is taking place right now. The idea is that the Tilted Towers would get flattened and nuked. As Epic had fun with the Redditors and carried their strategies into the game, it does not appear likely that the Tilted Towers would get targeted specifically. It has not also been here for long.

While the timing may make it appear as a potential April Fool’s gag, the comet stuff appears to span much longer than this specific weekend. Actually, the whole Battle Pass season appears to be space-themed, and people yet have weeks left to go before it is over. One of the Battle Pass rewards during this season is an astronaut costume. The savvy players even have seen that the other unlockables include stickers of eggs, dinosaurs, and an explosion. It is as if Epic is referencing dinosaur extinction, something that was prompted by an asteroid. Now the question is as to whether something big would happen at the end of the current Fortnite season.

One more leading theory is that it is all a build-up for Epic making an announcement that Save the World, the PVE portion of Fortnite, would become free. While it is not sure there is enough evidence to support this, it is certainly a move which would make sense. It is baffling that anybody would pay for that portion of the game in the first place.

If one is playing on the console, he may have even noticed that his controller keeps offering rumble feedback. Apparently, it is a glitch. Also with this information, given everything else that is going on with the comet, players are yet trying to figure out what it meant. A player mapped out where the rumbles take place and another has tried to transform the rumbles into morse code.  Unless the issue is fixed, people are likely going to receive more theories about the rumble, and if or not it connects to the wider mystery.

Even after watching all the evidence floating around, there is no idea as to what is happening. If nothing else, though, it is loved that Fortnite could get weird like this.
