Picklesburgh 2023 is underway in downtown Pittsburgh

All along Allied Street, from Smithfield Street to Stanwix Street, there are dozens of vendors offering a variety of pickle-flavored foods and themed merchandise to the pickle-loving crowd of festival-goers. Lorraine Flannery said Friday kicked off the weekend-long event with a massive crowd parading down Allied Street with food and live bands.

It’s Picklesburgh 2023, and the heavy visitor turnout couldn’t be happier.
“It’s all about the pickle,” said Cathy Hughes, who flew in from North Carolina.
If it can be imagined, it is probably something that was actually made with pickles.
Fried pickles, pickled corn, pickled on everything, all the pickles. “I can’t wait to try the pickled gelato,” said Lauren Flannery.
Friday marked the beginning of the weekend-long event with a massive crowd parading down Allied Street with food and live bands.
