Fox anchor Tucker Carlson reportedly hates Trump

On his Fox News shows, Tucker Carlson openly promotes Donald Trump and Republicans. Behind the scenes, however, the talk show host reportedly made more derogatory comments about the former president. Hate is spoken.
New details have come to light about the relationship between conservative US television network Fox News and former US President Donald Trump. According to portions of court documents in voting machine manufacturer Dominion’s trial against Fox, conservative TV host Tucker Carlson, who openly supported Trump on his shows, “hated” the former president behind the scenes. US media reported citing the released files.
Two months after the 2020 presidential election, Carlson texted an employee, “We’re so close to boycotting Trump most nights. I can’t wait. I hate him.” Fox News said in a statement that Dominion used court filings to discredit the network by distorting and misrepresenting quotes.
The new revelations further cast doubt on the credibility of high-profile presenter Carlson. It’s also relevant in the context of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s controversial decision. McCarthy recently released tens of thousands of hours of surveillance footage exclusively for Carlson storming the US Capitol.
The right-wing talk show host showed select images on Monday and Tuesday evenings and commented on them in the spirit of former President Trump, repeatedly falsely claiming that only peaceful protesters were out at the time.
The new revelations come from documents that are part of a defamation lawsuit filed against voting machine maker Dominion Fox News. Dominion is seeking about 1.6 billion US dollars, about 1.5 billion euros, in damages because Fox News circulated reports of alleged manipulation of voting computers.
