Jason Aldean, facing heatstroke, rushes off stage in the middle of the show

Jason Aldean was forced to cut his car in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday night (July 15), and rushed offstage where he suffered what was later revealed to be heatstroke.

The fan-captured video shows the eerie moment that occurred while Aldean was in the middle of performing his 2009 hit song, “Crazy Town.” The singer first backs off the mic to collect himself and buries his face in his arm, perhaps wiping the seat away. But after returning to the microphone for a few more seconds, he turned around and ran offstage.

It wasn’t immediately clear what was wrong, though a fan who shared the video speculated Aldean might be suffering from heatstroke.

The fan wrote: “Poor man. It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just to stand in the hole.” “I can’t imagine performing in jeans, boots, and a hat under all those lights in that humidity without a breeze. I hope he’s okay!”

After Aldean left the stage, a tweet from the venue – XFinity Theatre – made it clear that he would not be able to return to finish the show. The next day, Sunday (July 16), the theater shared more details.

“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled at a later date,” the statement read. “We appreciate your patience as we work to reschedule a new date, as well as an outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep confirmed that he’s doing well now after suffering heatstroke during last night’s performance.”

As of Sunday morning, no more dates have been affected at the current Desperado Tour speedway at Aldean. The next stop of the trip is scheduled for Sunday night in Saratoga Springs, NY The Desperado Highway Tour will run through October.
