Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Monica Garcia claims Jen Shah informed her of her telemarketing scheme before the former cast member was arrested in March 2021.
Garcia claimed during an interview on Tuesday that Shah confided in her about the nationwide scam, which primarily targeted seniors, while she was working as a former Bravolebrity assistant.
“How did you know what she was really doing?” Andy Cohen Garcia asked on Watch What Happens Live.
“Actually, you told me honestly,” she replied.
Cohen, 55, then asked about the details of the conversation and whether Shah, 50, told Garcia, 40, that she was “fooling old people.”
“She told me how her scheme worked and asked me to be a part of it,” she added. “I said, ‘Absolutely not,’ and that’s when I reached out to my friend in the Secret Service.”
During the Season 4 premiere of “RHOSLC” in September, Garcia revealed that she was a witness in Shah’s fraud case after she learned of the scheme and called someone in the Secret Service who advised her to stay away from the former “housewife.”
“We never got to talk after that because I was a witness in her federal trial, and those two can’t mix,” Garcia told Cohen.

She also stressed that she “was not the one who opened the case against” Shah because it had been “open for almost 10 years.”
While Garcia explained that she hasn’t spoken to Shah in years, she claimed she heard that the convict and her family were “angry” because she snapped a snowflake on “RHOSLC.”
“I hope it heals what’s so broken inside of you,” Garcia said, staring into the camera when asked if she had a “message” for her former employer.
Shah is currently behind bars serving a five-and-a-half-year sentence at a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, after pleading guilty to defrauding thousands of people out of money in July 2022.
She has since been pictured in prison, become ‘friends’ with fellow conman Elizabeth Holmes, celebrated her 50th birthday, completed an anger management course and even created a ‘Real Housewives’ play with fellow inmates.
