Rain is possible heading into the weekend as a front approaches from the west while Tropical Storm Philip moves to the east. Morning fog and low clouds may develop early Thursday before skies partially clear in the afternoon. The storm could leave us with periods of heavy rain and strong breezes. There may be a few showers later into the evening and Friday, but heavy, steady rain is likely throughout Saturday, with 1-2 inches possible through Saturday evening. There are fears of some local flooding in some areas, especially in the central, western and northern regions. Thursday night lows will return to the 50s under partly cloudy skies with areas of fog.

Philip is expected to move north-northwest over the next few days and the remnants of the storm may leave us with periods of heavy rain and strong breezes.
