The Essence Festival kicks off in New Orleans on Thursday for a full weekend of events, concerts, and celebrations. A welcome press conference was held Thursday at 8 am, to welcome the attendees to New Orleans. The festival runs until Monday, July 3. Missy Elliott, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Wizkid, and Jermaine Dupri have been named to this year’s talent roster for the Essence Festival Concert Series.
