The broadcaster explained that her desire to return to the talk show stems from her desire to provide work for writers and entertainment for viewers in a difficult time.

“I want to be there to offer what writers do so well, which is a way to bring us together or help us understand the human experience,” she concluded. “I hope that a solution can be found for everyone as soon as possible.
