The 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards rocked Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night with star-studded tributes to Jimmy Buffett as well as performances by Wynonna Judd, Dan + Shay, Lainey Wilson and more.
“Heart Like A Truck” singer Lainey Wilson dominated the 2023 CMA Awards, taking home five awards over the course of the night. Her first win of the day came early, when the top winners were announced on “Good Morning America.”
Wilson and Hardy were crowned Music Event and Music Video of the Year for their collaboration on “Wait in the Truck.”
Over the course of the night, “Fast Car” singer Tracy Chapman became the first black woman to receive a CMA Award, Post Malone joined Morgan Wallen for a surprise duet of “Pickup Man” while honoring country music legend Joe Diffie and Judd joined in. Troops with this year’s new artist Jelly Roll.
