During the first act, Baldur's Gate 3 introduces a mysterious character named Withers, who offers his services to resurrect dead companions and even source staff for fully customized parties. Thanks to vague lines of dialogue and other conversations with other characters, players quickly discover that the Bone Man appears to be immortal.

This didn't stop Baldur's Gate 3 fans from testing his powers, trying everything to get him to start fighting and even killing him. But besides preventing Withers from taunting them, there seemed to be no way to kill him despite having only one health point.

However, the resilient player managed to find a loophole to do so and shared with Reddit what happened after his INT stat was exhausted. “I thought he couldn't be killed. He used the ability drain to reduce his Intelligence to 0 and he died. We decided not to load and see how much it affected the Gathering speech.” After a long rest, his loot turned into a sack. “I guess he won't come back,” Redditor Cavill described. “.
