They are to be released in exchange for 13 Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip. The affected jails are busy making necessary improvements.
The 39 prisoners, minors and women, will be transferred to Ofer prison in the West Bank shortly before being released to the West Bank or East Jerusalem. Today is the first day in four days that such an exchange will take place. Additionally, several more days of ceasefire are possible if Hamas agrees to release more hostages.

First Hamas hostages to be released
