Kim Kardashian doesn’t have enough time to attend the Met Gala.
Shortly after a stunning moment on the red carpet at the 2024 fundraising event, the 43-year-old mogul hopped on her private plane to Hamburg, Germany, skipping the infamous post-Met festivities.
The reality star had good reason to do so — she’s headed to the 2024 OMR Festival, taking place on Tuesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 8, to serve as a guest speaker alongside other “digital pros” and entrepreneurs.
According to the Conference websitethe event brings audiences “information, inspiration, and networking about all things digital business.”
“From top international speakers delivering multi-stage presentations and masterclasses to a two-day trade show, side events and guided tours, OMR Festival is a must-have for digital professionals,” the website reads.

Kardashian appeared alongside other notable figures in the digital space such as music producer Rick Rubin, tech journalist Kara Swisher, and author and podcast host Tim Ferriss.
On stage during her engagement on Tuesday, May 7, keeping up with the Kardashians The alum said it was important for her to fulfill her commitment at the event despite attending the Met Gala just 18 hours earlier.
“I went from there to the plane,” she told the host. “I slept on the plane while I’m here.”
When Swisher joined her on stage, Kardashian added, “It was really good not to go to all the afterparties. I’m not really into going out, so this was the perfect excuse, because I really wanted to come here.”

In addition to discussing her entrepreneurial endeavors (like her popular SKIMS brand), Kardashian also talked about how the Met Gala has evolved into a business opportunity for her.
“It’s an event you really aspire to be invited to,” she said. “I’ve always been interested in fashion and beauty to the point where I wanted to go and see what everyone looked like and what they were wearing and to make connections and meet people, which would lead to some business ideas and some connections and collaborations.”
She continued: “I think it did not start with that intention. I was just happy to be invited and among the many people I loved and respected. When you become friendly with these people and opportunities, the nature of the matter can change.”

At the 2024 Met Gala, Kardashian made another shocking appearance. She appeared in a sheer John Galliano-designed Margiela dress with a lace train that featured leaf and floral accents, but the most eye-catching (and controversial) part of the ensemble was the silver corset that gave her a tiny waist. She also wore a simple gray shawl.

Kardashian’s icy blonde hair was styled in tousled waves and loosely braided, adding to the easy vibe of the ensemble.
