A killer who has been killing women escapes from a prison near Philadelphia with an amazing Spider-Man-style climb. A week later, investigators show the video of the escape to intensify the search. A local resident tells of a strange night drive.

Authorities in the US state of Pennsylvania are searching for a murderer who escaped from prison a week ago – and now they’ve released video of the man on the run. Records show how Danelo Cavalconte climbs horizontally with his hands and feet on two opposite walls. According to authorities, the 34-year-old Brazilian climbed onto the roof of the jail in Chester County, west of downtown Philadelphia. He managed to escape by overcoming barbed wire several times.

Covalant escaped from prison on August 31. He was earlier sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his ex-girlfriend. He killed the woman with 38 stab wounds in 2021 in front of her children.

Police are looking for a man who was captured several times on surveillance cameras in the area. A terrifying late-night encounter was also reported at the home of a local resident: Ryan Drummond told US media that he believed a fugitive had broken into his home last weekend. “I woke up my wife and said, ‘I think there might be someone downstairs,'” Drummond told ABC.

He then turned the light on and off several times to let the intruder know he was there. He then flicked a light switch several times – finally leaving the house. Among other things, he stole peaches and apples, Drummond said.

Authorities have announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the fugitive killer. Police believe he is still in the area.
