Information revealed after FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago |

Trump kept secret documents on Iran’s nuclear program

New information about secret documents in the Trump garden!

Former US President Donald Trump, 76, allegedly illegally stored classified documents about China and Iran at his private residence at Mar-a-Lago, according to repeated reports in the US media.

At least one document described Iran’s missile program, according to the Washington Post. Also: Other documents describe “top secret intelligence work” on China. Accordingly, the documents provide insights into intelligence methods that the US wants to keep secret from the rest of the world.

Some experts worry: Documents from Trump’s home could put whistleblowers at risk if they fall into the wrong hands.

The FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in early August. According to the latest information, a total of about 13,000 documents comprising nearly 22,000 pages were seized – about 100 of them classified. The search was prompted by a dispute between Trump and the National Archives, which manages the presidents’ records. It has been trying for months to get documents from the Trump administration.

By-election and a committee subpoena

For Trump, these media reports come at a bad time: two weeks before crucial midterm elections, he is trying to rally voters for his policies and the politicians he supports!

Another problem for the former president: He was subpoenaed by an investigative committee on the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Trump will hand over the documents by Nov. 4 and appear for a multi-day hearing under oath beginning Nov. 14.

Trump is unlikely to comply with the subpoena. The House of Representatives may report him to the Justice Department for contempt of Congress. Conclusion: A long process. Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon (68) About recently convicted and should spend four months in jail.

In his first reaction last week, Trump did not comment on whether he intended to comply with the subpoena, but criticized the timing of the subpoena as too late. At the same time, he reiterated his claims about “massive falsification” in the presidential election, rejected by several courts – “the reason for what happened on January 6”.

But the committee has no time limit. The catch: President Joe Biden’s (79) Democrats are likely to lose their majority in the House of Representatives to Trump’s Republicans in the Nov. 8 general election. The Commission of Inquiry should be completed as soon as possible before the start of the new parliamentary year in January.
