The Indiana Pacers begin the second round of the NBA playoffs tonight against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in six games to advance for the first time since 2014. The Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers in six games. Indiana won the season series 2-1, but the two teams haven’t met since the All-Star break.

The Indiana Pacers missed a chance to steal the first game. They led 115-113 a minute and a half before the end, but the Knicks scored 8 of the last 10 points.
Among Indiana’s key players, Myles Turner scored 23 points and Pascal Siakam 19. Pacers on the bench: TJ McConnell (18 points, 3 steals), Obi Toppin (12 points, 6 rebounds), Isaiah Jackson (8 points, 5 rebounds) , son. Shepard (8 points). Their scoring advantage over the Knicks bench is 46-3.
Jalen Brunson scored 43 points for New York, while Josh Hart – who played the entire game – added 24 points with 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Donte DiVincenzo scored 25, Isaiah Hartenstein 13, and OG Anunoby 13 with 9 rebounds.
The Pacers have 32 assists on 46 baskets. New York has 25 out of 44.
