Joe Kooy says Taylor Swift joke was 'flat'
Speaking about the poor reception of his jokes at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, comedian Joe Koy told GMA3 that there was one particular moment he felt bad about. “I think it was when Taylor,” he said [Swift] One of them was a little flat… I think it was a weird joke. But it was more about the NFL… I was trying to make fun of the NFL with quotes and how ground balls didn't have to do that. So it was a huge blow to the NFL. But it didn't turn out that way.”

At the ceremony, Joe Coy said: “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL is that at the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift. I got to a moment where I was like, “Ah.” Hosting is just a difficult task. Yes, I'm a stand-up comedian, but this hosting position has a different style. I just kind of went in and did what the writer wanted. We had 10 days to write this monologue. It was a crash course. “I feel bad, but I still have to say I loved what I did.”
