SOTOGRANDE, Spain — Talor Gooch won his third LIV Golf League title of the year Sunday when he par-boiled a 15-foot putt on the 18th hole at Valderrama for a 4-under 67 and one-put victory over Bryson DeChambeau.

Gooch won $4 million for the win in Spain. Along with victories in Australia and Singapore, the now former Oklahoma State player has earned $13,376,583 in eight LIV events this year.

He also became the first player to achieve three victories in the funded Saudi League. Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson both have two wins each.

DeChambeau started the third and final round with a 1-shot lead and twice extended that to a 2-shot margin, the last time they made their turn. Gotch caught him to birdie the 10th and 13th holes, forming the big end.

They both birdied a par-5 17. On the last hole, Gooch rolled a right-to-left break to deny DeChambeau, who closed with a 69.

Koepka closed with a 68. He started three shots behind and fell off the pace quickly. Koepka, the PGA Championship winner, tried to stay within range until the bogey on the 13th hole but ended his chances.

Gooch finished at 12-under-201.

He previously won three shots in Australia, then followed that up with a decider victory over Sergio Garcia in Singapore. Gooch did not play in the month prior to Valderrama because he was not exempt and did not participate in the US Open.

He’s in the field for the Open in three weeks. LIV Golf is moving on to its next event outside of London, where the series began a year ago.
