Shots were reportedly fired outside the home of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and Schools Counselor David Banks in Manhattan.

Police are investigating a shooting near the home of Manhattan Senior Vice Mayor Sheena Wright and Schools Counselor David Banks, sources tell The Post.
Police sources added that Wright and Banks were unharmed in the 4:15 a.m. incident and were not believed to have been the intended targets.
The sources said that the policemen found a shell that was located a block away from the house near the corner of West 143rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, and arrested an “important person”.
Sources said Wright, 52, heard the shooting and reported details to the NYPD.
The incident was caught on cameras in the house, which Wright is believed to be sharing with the chancellor.
The sources said that there were no reports of injuries or property damage.
The NYPD did not immediately have information regarding the incident.
Shooting incidents Shootings fell 21% in 2023, to 148 of 187 incidents compared to the same period last year through March 5, according to NYPD data.
