Sega announces Sonic Mania Plus in the south by Southwest 2018 panel. The panel began the session with a good news for everyone who all wanted the physical version of 2D throwback Sonic Mania. They announced that the wish of everyone is going to be fulfilled in the form of Sonic Mania Plus. The release of the Sonic Mania Plus will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $29.99.

The panel also said that in spite of having a positive reaction to the game, they got lots of complaints about the disc or cartridge version. The Sega will have a boxed version of the game which includes a 32-page art book, holographic cover, a reversible cover of Genesis-style. The attractive part of the game is the two famous creatures Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel is added as playable heroes. The Sega does not reveal about the controls of the characters or any change in existing level or unique mechanics.

The additional content will include a new “encore” mode and a new version of “competition mode” which will allow four players to race side by side. Sega said that the owners can pay to unlock the Plus content but the company has not yet finalized the price for the same.

The panel also announced a new game in the form of the image. The image starts with black and then it exploded with single letter ‘R’ in the end. The image followed by showing a number of headlights of the car and sounds of the engine. The panel said that the game is not the sequel to an existing game. This image making the rumor true which was there about Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing.
