Samsung has modified how Batteries Plus repairs Galaxy devices in the US. Samsung introduced Batteries Plus as an independent service provider for the Galaxy Repair Program back in 2018. This allowed Galaxy users in the US to have their devices repaired at Batteries Plus locations that were past their warranty period. But now this is starting to change.

In the context of expanding its services, Samsung Allows Batteries Plus locations in the US to repair under-warranty devices. This means that Batteries Plus is now an authorized service center and can also be contacted to repair complex phones like the Galaxy Z Fold series. Furthermore, Samsung adds that Batteries Plus will repair devices in person, allowing for same-day availability of devices in some cases.

Each Batteries Plus location will have certified technicians trained to perform additional repairs beyond regular repairs. Since foldable devices have a lot of components, having an in-house technician and the ability to repair these devices personally and locally is a win for Galaxy owners.

Samsung added This expansion of services will “Making convenient, fast, high-quality repair options available to more people across the country.“Currently, 35 physical Batteries Plus locations will be able to repair Galaxy devices under warranty. More locations will be added in the future. Users will be able to book their appointment on the Batteries Plus website. The expansion will begin this fall.”
