Hamilton: Great start for Europe in the Ryder Cup

Team USA and Team Europe face off on the first day of the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.

Stories abound, but one story stands out from the crowd: America’s 30-year period without a win on European soil. Europe has had six straight victories outside the United States, with the Americans’ last win abroad coming in September 1993 at the Bell Tower in Warwickshire, England.
