Richard Simmons apologizes for 'confusion' after social media posts spark concern

When reached by CNN prior to Simmons' apology, Simons' spokesman, Tom Estey, also confirmed that the posts were meant to be motivational in nature and not a personal advertisement regarding his health.

“I can 100 percent confirm that Richard is not dying,” Estey told CNN. “He is actually very healthy and happy. This post was solely intended to be inspirational.

In a series of posts on his Page X stemming from his original post, Simmons wrote about healthy eating and encouraged his followers to check out the workout videos available on his page. Youtube channel.

Simmons grew his fitness business and became a regular television presenter in the 1980s, becoming known as a social health advocate.

He has remained out of the public eye in recent years, but the circumstances surrounding his whereabouts and well-being have provided a fair share of Internet fodder.
