Germany’s influence in the world is getting smaller!

It comes from that “Global Cities Report” From management consulting firm Kearney.

Accordingly, Germany’s most important metropolises are losing international influence, and the experts behind the study warn of a “downward trend”!

► Germany is still on the 2022 index While Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich were among the top 30 cities worldwide, in 2023, with downward movements, only Berlin is in 16th place (previous year: 14th place) and Frankfurt in 27th place (previous year: 24th place).

Munich are relegated and finish only in 31st place (previous year: 27th place).

German cities must also suffer a severe setback when it comes to future potential!

► In 2022, Munich was third in terms of future potential, but now the Bavarian metropolis has slipped to ninth.

► Even more dramatic: Berlin has lost a total of nine places and is now 21st (previous year: 12th).

► Düsseldorf only managed 25th (previous year: 17th) and Frankfurt 26th (previous year: 21st).

The five most influential cities remain unchanged from the 2022 ranking. They are New York (1), London (2), Paris (3), Tokyo (4) and Beijing (5).
