Apparently Prince William can’t afford to be hanged.
His cousin Mike Tindall has revealed his royal title, which appears to be a lightweight when it comes to alcohol.
“The Prince of Wales is known to me as ‘One Pint Willie’ because he’s not the best drinker,” the 45-year-old former rugby player revealed on Wednesday’s episode of the show. “Seven: Rob Burrow” podcast alongside his wife and William’s first cousin, Zara Tindall.
“Coming from a sport built around the social aspect, where a couple of beers are often consumed,” he continued. “That is something I would certainly give to the Prince of Wales. ‘One pint Willie.’ It’s there now. Sorry, sir!”
Zara joked that her husband would be “in big trouble” because of the title reveal, adding that “a lot of those titles fly around.”
The topic came up after host Rob Burrow asked the couple if they had any pet names for each other.
“We call each other ‘munchkins’ a lot, don’t we? We’ll leave it up to the equestrian, 42, to reveal the name of his contact on her phone,” Mike explained jokingly.
Zara – who married her fellow athlete in 2011 – agreed that ‘munchkin’ was one of her most frequently used nicknames, but she also refers to him lovingly as ‘Mickey’ or sternly as ‘Michael Tindall’, specifically when he’s ‘not listening’. “
As for his NSFW contact name, she quipped, “It’s in my phone as something else, and it ends with ‘kitten.’
“You can fill in the first word,” Mike interrupted, laughing.
Zara is the daughter of Captain Mark Phillips and Anne, Princess Royal, and is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Zara and Mike have three children: Mia, 9, Lena, 5, and Lucas, 2.
When it comes to drinking, One Pint Willie, 41, can’t hold a candle to his younger brother, Prince Harry, who downed six pints of beer while celebrating his 39th birthday at a German brewery in September.
The Duke of Sussex – who was there with his wife, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle – made sure to pay the bill and left a generous tip for the staff.
