If a remake of Persona 3 seems too good to be true, it kind of might be, depending on which version of the game you remember. Atlus has announced that the recently revealed Persona 3 update (officially, at least) will be based on the original PS2 version and will not feature content from FES or the mobile incarnation of the game.
This includes the big things that some fans will likely take for granted, including (but far from limited to) the unique ability to play as the female protagonist and all of the associated social ties and bonus content that goes with it in Portable. Instead, the dark, suspenseful, and light predecessor that was Persona 4 will be based on the first incarnation of the game, Ironically, the least of them The number of players most familiar with (including us).
Persona 3 Reloaded producer Ryota Niitsuma and director Kazuhisa Wada sat in with them IGN To explain what players should expect from the project. Niitsuma stated the following: “First, I’d like to mention that since the core concept of Persona 3 was a remake of Persona 3, we don’t have FES and portable contents included. We really wanted to work on recreating the Persona 3 experience. So we can’t go into detail on this one.” The stage so far, but we’ve basically redesigned everything from scratch as in Persona 3, the original release.”
There are some new additions, however, as Niitsuma explains: “We’ve recorded new sounds, we’ve got new scenes and events. We’ve also got new music and an arrangement. We’ll release that info, with everything to follow. So please look forward to that.”
How do you feel about Persona 3 reloading, and finding out more about the intended scope?
