LhCloudy, Reinhardt's most loyal main character in Overwatch 2, ditched the “non-playable” tank in Season 9 with Zenyatta becoming the primary choice.

If there's one group of main characters in Overwatch that is consistent with its heroes, Reinhardt's main characters are probably among the most loyal. After all, no other character can scratch the itch of the giant, hammer-swinging German.

However, tanks in general have been on the back foot with the massive changes Season 9 has seen, and it appears that Overwatch 2's most popular tank has become “unplayable” with the new patch.

LhCloudy, Overwatch pro player and popular master Reinhardt, I posted a video He decried Reinhardt's condition in the new season, mainly attributing it to another hero's fault.

“You try to engage, and you imagine there are Zenyatta guys. You get Discord Orb'd, plus 30% extra damage, minus 20% extra healing, and what do you do with Reinhardt? It's completely obliterated.”

He points out that even if Zenyatta was involved, the changes he made in Season 9 and the support from his teammate would completely dissolve Reinhardt. “He's got 275 HP, there's another support that heals him, he can trick you, Reinhardt is absolutely miserable to play.

Of course, trading in since you'll be counter-selected is always an option, however, Cloudy seems to be loyal to Reinhardt no matter what.

“Most people will say, 'Trade your hero.' But we're Reinhardt players, and we wouldn't trade our hero. That's not how it works. This argument doesn't make sense. Why would you trade Reinhardt?

Cloudy isn't the first notable main tank to decry Zenyatta's dominance in Season 9, as Flats, one of Rein's popular main characters, also wants to tweak the Discord Orb because it makes the tank “unbearable” to play with.
