Manor Lords, one of the most anticipated city building games, has become the most anticipated city building game in the world according to the Steam Wishlist charts.
Manor Lords is an upcoming medieval strategy game that mixes top-down settlement expansion with all-out tactical battles. It features the same detailed economic management and complex social simulations that make games like this click, but everything is presented in painfully realistic detail, which gives this game an extra edge.
According to the valves GraphsManor Lords is now the most favorite listed Steam game in the world ahead of its Early Access release on April 26. This means that the game has surpassed the likes of the roguelike series Hades 2, and legendary spirits like Black Myth: Wukong, the mysterious Hollow Knight Silksong, and STALKER 2.
The many excellent demos that have been made available over the years have done most of the heavy lifting when it comes to spreading word of mouth about this demo. This comes as no surprise as the Manor Lords hands-on preview said it had “some of the most profound and immersive gameplay” found in strategic city builders – although we “barely scratched the surface of what's possible in this game.”
Developer Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse previously announced that the game had reached two million wishlists on Steam last January, to give you an idea of what it would take to reach that top spot.
Manor Lords will be released into Early Access on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Game Pass Preview Program on April 26, at which point Hades 2 will return to its throne.
