An Ottumwa couple in the process of building a home say they may add to new construction plans after claiming a $2 million Powerball prize. Tammy Gordy, 56, purchased the winning ticket at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh, 1027 N. Quincy Ave. in Ottumwa. She matched the first five figures in Saturday’s drawing (2-38-44-50-62) but missed Arsenal (19). It would have been worth $1 million, but it added the Power Play option, which doubled the prize. “I fell off my seat,” Gordy said in a press release from the Iowa Lottery. “I couldn’t see! There were all those Zeros!
