カ appears to be playing on Renatus Cartesius, the Latin name for Rene Descartes, the famous philosopher known as “Cogito, Ergo Sum” (I think, so I existOne of the founders of modern philosophy. He was also the creator of analytic geometry, a field of mathematics that relates algebra to integer geometry. Also, his name came from “the outskirts of the city” (Des Quartes) but it can also be taken in Latin as “the one who is ignored”
