Nominees for the Michael Apted Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Theatrical Debut Feature Film were also announced.

Los Angeles – Directors Guild of America President Leslie Linka Glatter today announced the five nominees for the 2023 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Theatrical Feature Film.

“In a year filled with so many exceptional films, DGA members nominated an amazing group of talented storytellers,” Glatter said. Their films combined technical prowess with unique artistic visions that captured the depth of the human experience and left an indelible impact on audiences around the world. “Congratulations to these amazing directors on their well-deserved nominations.”

Winners will be announced at the 76th Annual DGA Awards on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

Additionally, Glatter announced the five nominees for the Michael Apted Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Theatrical Debut Feature Film.

“The renaming of this award was introduced at last year’s ceremony, in honor of the vision of our late former Chairman Michael Apted in establishing recognition for outstanding work in feature film directing debuts.”
