‘Trivial’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could skip King Charles’ coronation by throwing a birthday party for their son, Archie, a royal expert claims.

The little prince is set to turn 4 on May 6 – the same day his grandfather will be formally crowned and anointed in a historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

While the eyes of the world will be on the royal proceedings, royal columnist Lee Cohen claims the Sussexes may take the spotlight by throwing a competitive celebration for their son.

“It’s quite a trivial thing to do, but the Sussexes, who no longer have their own royal programme, seem to be relishing any opportunity to try to stroll on a royal occasion.” Cohen told the Express.

“It’s not as if the royal family is looking for occasions to flaunt the Sussex antics, quite the opposite.”

It was revealed last week that Archie will not be attending Charles’ coronation. Instead, the youngster will stay home in Montecito, California, with his mom, Markle, and little sister, Princess Lilibet.

This news only led to rumors that Markle is throwing a party for her two boys woman A source is quoted as saying, “Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland will be at the party, along with Archie’s preschool friends and some celebrity friends of the couple.”

The post claims that Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, and Portia de Rossi may be in attendance if there really is a May 6 celebration.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has confirmed that he will travel to London for the coronation ceremony, but he is only expected to be in the city for hours.

The Mirror reports that the wayward king may be home to Montecito on Archie’s birthday on the afternoon of May 6th.

said a source Page six there is will in celebration of Archie, but insists it will be a low key.

“Harry will do everything he can to get back in time for Archie’s birthday,” the source stated. “It’s going to be an intimate party, it’s not going to be like ‘My Super Sweet 16’ or Portia de Rossi’s 50th!”

Even if there isn’t a large-scale birthday party, Cohen argued, the Sussexes could still take some attention away from the coronation by releasing a new photo of Archie.

The royal columnist explains that it is typical for the couple to post pictures of their children to celebrate their birthdays, and this year may be no exception.

However, others have defended the Sussexes’ right to throw a party for Archie, saying the royal family was petty for choosing to hold the coronation on his birthday in the first place.

“May 6th is Archie’s birthday and it has been since 2019. That date was chosen by that group of people in London to overshadow a little boy’s birthday,” a Sussex supporter Advertise on Twitter.

Harry has confirmed that he will attend his father’s coronation, but is only expected to be in London for a few hours.

The speculation about Archie’s birthday comes amid drama surrounding the upcoming coronation.

One report claims that King Charles is “disappointed” that Markle will not be attending the ceremony.

However, another source claimed that Kate Middleton’s sister-in-law “banned” the former actress from attending.
