After their collaboration on the horror pic imaginaryLionsgate and Blumhouse are teaming up again, this time to develop and produce an entirely new version The Blair Witch Project. This will be the first film in a multi-picture pact with Blumhouse to reimagine horror classics from the Lionsgate library. The announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, President of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, and Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse during Lionsgate's CinemaCon presentation this morning.
Bloom will collaborate with producer Roy Lee on the new film Blair Witch; Lee previously produced the 2016 film Blair Witch.
