SDT duties cover counter-terrorism, guarding important personnel, arresting serious crimes, rescuing hostages, and more. Higher-level tasks and matters that need high security are handed over to the SDT.
Due to the demands of the job, SDT is more difficult to train than other teams. They must undergo endurance training to push their limits, special martial arts and sniper skills, how to shoot down buildings and helicopters, and more.
There are some benefits, of course. The SDT base has the most impressive gym facilities of all the bases. They also have the best cafeteria food!
