Although it’s not surprising, Capcom seems to have something of a problem when it comes to cheaters playing Street Fighter 6. We’ve seen a number of suspicious cases over the past four months where a number of YouTube videos and X posts have shown footage of netizens cheating They play rather primitively, and such cases seem to be on the rise.
A recent YouTube video comes from Deavon While taking a closer look at the problem. We can start with an
This does not mean that the user in question is necessarily a bot, but in these and many such cases, it seems as if some automated process has been put in place to help augment human play. Kalami’s Juri isn’t a master of dodging everything possible, but he manages to perfectly dodge every crouching medium kick (4) Guile throws in the round, as well as the medium punch PPs used against her.
SF6 cheaters are another thing… Juri started this playthrough around September 5th, put himself at Rookie 1 and ascended to 2000MR Master by September 13th or so. Destroyed amazing players like @EndingWalker , @Akainuuuuu And many others… fucking. pic.twitter.com/1ca25wbrfO

In its video, Diaphone sees a number of suspicious replays with input history turned on. We end up seeing some frame-perfect movements that a human would be unlikely to do consistently. With all the resources SF6 has to offer, we can also track how quickly certain players progress through the ranks, a hasty run can also be a clear sign of enhanced play.
One of the players featured in the video, Lightspeed, was the first to break the 2300MR barrier. As of writing this article, this account has been reset to a starting amount of 1500MR, indicating developer intervention of some sort.
Capcom will have to be careful to make a public move quickly to rectify this, as the overall favorite with Street Fighter 6, while still relatively high, has clearly begun to wane in recent weeks. If fans become aware of another widespread issue like this and feel as though the developers aren’t prioritizing the fix, the risk is a major blow to overall enthusiasm for the game.
Watch the full video from Diaphone below and share your thoughts on the matter in the comments. Do you think the presence of these cheaters is a major issue, or an understandable part of the experience that won’t ultimately hinder the image of Street Fighter 6 too significantly?
