In a 49-second TikTok clip, Apple customer Caitlin Emico is seen walking by @kaitlin.emico On TikTok, she revealed an AirPods hack that many of her followers were surprised to learn about.
Emiko revealed that the wireless headphones contain a little-known sound-isolating feature, which filters out background noise when on a call – which her followers are calling a “game changer.”
“I was on the phone with my ex-boyfriend the other night and he told me these life hacks that I feel like I’m the biggest idiot for not knowing her for so long,” Emiko said in the clip that went viral with. 6.4 million views.
The Australian national who lives in New York City discovered the hack in her AirPods Pro model, the only version that has the audio feature.
Trying to talk through the sounds of the bustling city surroundings, Emiko’s ex-boyfriend asked, “It’s so noisy, why don’t you use like soundproofing?”
Emiko explained that she had never heard of this feature, commenting on the clip posted on November 20, “How did I not know this.”
“All this time, I was generally interacting with them and isolating the sound, and it was crystal clear and only my voice was picked up,” she said.
In the clip, the Australian woman demonstrated how to use the gadget, revealing sound options of standard sound isolation or broad spectrum, which leaves ambient noise unfiltered.
