GTA 6 fans reimagine the trailer for the Switch port using PlayStation 1 graphics

A GTA 6 fan has recreated the new trailer using old PlayStation graphics and jokes about what the upcoming game will look like on Nintendo Switch.

Ever since developer Rockstar dropped the first trailer for the highly anticipated GTA 6, the gaming industry has flooded the internet with theories, videos, and more about the upcoming installment in the beloved franchise.

The new trailer has broken the record for the most views of any video game launch trailer on YouTube, drumming up hype for GTA 6 in the process. While many focused on the positives of the trailer, including the great visuals and scope of the map, others took a different approach.

One Reddit user He created the trailer in old-school PlayStation 1 graphics and jokingly stated that the Nintendo Switch port would look and function like their game.

The post, which has more than 150 comments, is filled with players promoting the meme. “Limited to 24fps,” one Redditor wrote, while another added: “Nintendo fans will rave about this and it will win many GOTY awards.”

Another GTA fan also commented, saying: “You are so generous. This trailer was so smooth and without screen tearing or frame drops.

Since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, gamers have been teasing the console to see how many ported versions of popular triple AAA titles are running on the platform.

The most recent game to receive this treatment, Hogwarts: Legacy, has been criticized by fans for no longer being an open world game, with Nintendo choosing to split up each area to ensure the game can be optimized for the Switch.

At the time of writing, GTA 6 has not been announced for the Nintendo Switch in any capacity. However, it has been confirmed to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
