The outrage over the design of the hamburger emoji as well as the beer emoji has taken a toll on social media. The issue was hyped so much that Google’s CEO himself had to personally come up with a solution for the same. The year 2017 has been a year of controversies and trolling. Social media has provided a platform that helps us bring out even the minor issues which can go viral within seconds of being posted. To deal with the issue, Google today released a new Android Oreo 8.1 which contains the fixed up emoji of a pint of beer and burger.
The Beer emoji earlier had frothing foam at the top when the mug was half full which is practically impossible. The latest version of the beer mug contains a mug full of beer with foam on top. The latest burger emoji is similar to that of Microsoft’s burger emoji. Normally the order of making a burger is patty-cheese-tomato-lettuce. However, the previous version of the same contained the cheese just above the lower bun which was something unacceptable by the Android users.
The Pixel 2 XL now has the updated emoji fixes, thanks to the quick actions by Google. Now you can use the emoji and call your friends or colleagues for burger and drinks. The Samsung users still rely on the emoji with lettuce between the cheese and patty that looks really unappetizing. The new Android Oreo 8.1 came out today itself and can vary according to the time zone you live in. The same also comes in with a “Go” edition that is light on your phones and is specially designed for low-end phones with less than or equal to 1GB RAM memory.
Apart from these emoji fixes, the new update also comes with a support for Visual Core image processing chip which is found in the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. This lets the third-party developers access the impressive HDR features of the camera. This new update shall be available for all Google Pixel phones along with Pixel C tablet, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 5X.
