Exclusive: Tim Kring Heroes Looking forward to his second appearance with Heroes: Eclipse, a new incarnation of the popular 2006 superhero drama series, sources tell Deadline. It is fitting that the project is being presented to buyers now, which is the week of the solar eclipse. (The original series began with a solar eclipse in the pilot episode, which became a recurring motif throughout the series, and was also reflected in its logo.)
Written by Kring, Heroes: Eclipse The film takes place years after the events of the original series, as the New Developers are awakened and discover powers that will change their lives. Featuring familiar villains and new enemies who will once again attempt to suppress this next step in human evolution, it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world.
The premise brings to mind the 2015 limited series Heroes reborn, also created by Kring, was also set years after the events of the original series and introduced a new group of evo as more ordinary people discovered that they possessed unique abilities. New characters joined HeroesNoah Bennett (Jack Coleman), who led the follow-up, with a number of original cast members making guest appearances, including Sendhil Ramamurthy (Dr. Mohinder Suresh), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura) and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman).
Heroes It ran for four seasons after a hot start with the pop culture-defining first act “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World” which earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.
