Prior to becoming a Super Bowl XXII MVP, Doug Williams was the quarterback at Grambling. After his NFL career, Williams became Grambling’s head coach. But now Williams says he can’t support his alma mater.

That’s because Grambling’s new head coach, former Brown and Raiders coach Hugh Jackson, has hired Art Brills as their offensive coordinator, giving Brills his first college coaching job since Baylor sacked him over his handling of sexual assault allegations against Baylor players.

Williams, who now works in the front office of Washington’s leaders, told Washington Post He doesn’t see why Grambling would hire Braille when no other school would.

“I don’t know Art Brills; I have never met him in my life,” said Williams. “But the situation, Nobody will hire him For whatever reason. I don’t know why Grambling State had to be the one to hire him, so I’m not a fan at all.”

Asked if he would continue to support Grambling’s football team, Williams said: “Oh, no. I can’t do that. No no no. If I support them, I condone it.”

Grambling hired Jackson as her head coach in December. It’s Jackson’s first job as a head coach since he was fired after a 3-36-1 spell at Cleveland.
