A Cincinnati girls’ basketball coach has been arrested after a fight that occurred during a game last month, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said. According to the sheriff, deputies were called to the Triton High School gymnasium in Shelby County for an ongoing fight between the players. The game was between the Cincinnati Indians Elite and the DSB Heat of Owensboro and was organized by Indiana American Amateur Basketball, and according to officials, one of the referees was booked and assaulted at some point during the game. An arrest warrant was issued for one of the Cincinnati Indians Elite coaches, Laquita Carter, on August 11 on charges of criminal imprisonment and felony battery. On August 14, Carter was taken into custody and is currently being held in Hamilton County. Justice Center: According to the sheriff’s office, members of the Cincinnati Indians Elite girls’ and boys’ team were also involved in a physical altercation at the gym that resulted in injury to another official. On August 14, Carter was arrested and is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

According to the sheriff’s office, members of the Cincinnati Indians Elite girls’ and boys’ juvenile team were also involved in a physical altercation in a gymnasium that resulted in the injury of another official.
