So far, China has not condemned Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine or its annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories. At the same time, Beijing has positioned itself as a mediator between the conflicting parties with the controversial 12-point plan. However, experts have seen signs of China supplying Russia with military supplies in the past. However, these are mainly spare parts for drones or military equipment. In the past, Beijing has refrained from supplying Russia with lethal weapons. It is unclear whether the same applies to Putin’s supporters, such as Kadyrov’s Chechen mercenaries.
