(WJW) – Actress Shannen Doherty shared heartbreaking news that she has cancer.

Doherty said her stage 4 breast cancer had spread to her bones.


Doherty is now 52 years old. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy, she entered remission.

The cancer returned in 2019. Doherty announced her diagnosis of stage IV metastatic cancer in 2020.

Earlier this year, she said the cancer had spread to her brain, a tumor that was removed.

“I don’t want to die,” she said in an interview. the people.

The “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Charmed” star said she is still undergoing treatment.

“I’m not done living. I’m not done loving. I’m not done creating. I’m not done changing things for the better,” she said, smiling. “I’m not—I’m not done.”

Doherty launches a memoir-style podcast, “Let’s be clear with Shannen Doherty“.

It premieres December 6 on iHeartRadio.

“When you ask yourself ‘Why me? Why did I get cancer?’ and then ‘Why did my cancer come back?’ ‘Why am I at stage 4?’ ‘This leads you to search for the greater purpose in life,’” she explains.

Doherty hopes to enter clinical trials and said she hopes to return to work.

“People assume that means you can’t walk, you can’t eat, you can’t work.
