He wanted a knuckle sandwich.

An angry Subway customer attacked a group of workers when they refused to put more meat on his sandwich, forcing the store manager to stop working due to her permanent injuries.

General Manager Monique Larios was called into action after her employees argued with a customer over the amount of pork in his sandwich at a Madera, California, store on May 1.

The customer, named George Sandoval, claimed he paid double the price for meat that had already been placed in the submarine. According to KFSN.

Sandoval demanded that workers put 12 extra slices of ham on the sandwich instead of the extra 6 he paid for the store, and counter-argued, claiming they had proof of his exact order.

The agent then walked around the table and unleashed a barrage of punches on Larios.

“I wasn’t expecting it. He came around the corner and I said, ‘What are you going to do, hit me on the ham?’ He hit me,” Larios told the outlet. “He punched me and all I remember is just black.”

With the thug towering over the worker, Larios said she didn’t stand a chance.

“I’m 4-foot-11, and this guy was 6-foot-5 and weighed about 400 pounds,” she said.

As Sandoval launched his attack, a quick-thinking agent rushed to the worker’s aid and snatched the brutality away from the woman.

The Good Samaritan jumped on Sandoval’s back and struck him in the face at least three times, allowing the workers to run to safety behind the counter.

Sandoval was arrested later in the day and charged with battery.

The Madera Police Department criticized Sandoval’s behavior toward the workers.

“Never. I think they went behind the counter and punched the manager,” said Madera Police Sgt. Brent Cedarquist.

Larios claimed her injuries have forced her to stay away from work for more than a week since the attack, putting a strain on her family’s finances.

“I have missed work for more than a week, I am a single mother and I depend on every paycheck to keep me on my feet,” she said. He wrote on the GoFundMe. “Because my eyes are swollen and I can’t drive, I haven’t been able to work. I hate to ask for help but I have no choice because I’m falling behind on my bills.

“I’m scared. I still can’t feel half my face,” Larios told the outlet. “There could be some sort of permanent damage. I’ve never felt so numb to where my face looks like a mask.

Larios, who plans to press charges against her attacker, attacked him for allowing the situation to turn violent instead of speaking about it civilly.

“I didn’t deserve this at all. I was just doing my job,” she told the outlet. “There was nothing wrong with it, the sandwich was prepared to our Subway standards. I don’t know why he didn’t even give me a chance to try to find out what he wanted.

“Things did not have to happen as they did with the meat, and unfortunately I am suffering the consequences while the attacker is free without any worries to work and live life as if nothing had happened.”
